Chile is a country whose length and geography give it a natural diversity that is unique in the world. Its climate, landscape and soils, among other features, allow for the existence of a great variety of birds that fly over the territory from North to South. Some of them are endemic, only being found in Chile, while others travel seasonally through8the rest of South America. We have wanted to honor the qualities of our birds, assigning a variety of wine to each one and linking their different elements.

Since 1825 is the family’s Super Premium wine. It was released in 2019 in recognition of almost two centuries of work, which are soon to be commemorated. Carlos Adolfo del Pedregal traveled from Asturias, Spain to the Loncomilla Valley in 1825.

The story goes that during the vineyard’s beginnings, when new clients visited the field, they would finish their tour under the great tree located on top of a hill. This unconventional and anecdotal act gave birth to strong and fruitful alliances. Since then, intrigue, character and originality have been what inspire us to take risks and innovate. Origen is created to remember the story of how it all began. It is an assemblage that represents complexity and an interest in creating a different experience in every occasion.

Bright, luminous red ruby color. Great aromatic intensity, where black and red fruit aromas predominate and combine with soft spicy and toasted notes from its aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, it is fresh, round and well-structured with notes of raspberry, strawberries and rose petals.Its deep fruitiness and elegance end in a smooth and persistent finish.

In 1978, Alberto del Pedregal Aldunate brought Carta Vieja to life, the first family brand. It has a long tradition that extends over 42 years. With time, it’s known how to reinvent itself, always maintaining itself as one of the leading wines of Viña del Pedregal.
